Hotel Adler

The room was a good size, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were really friendly. It's a nice traditional hotel in a great spot for an overnight stay before flying from Frankfurt. The entrance feels welcoming too. A few things let it down: the decor looked a bit dated, maybe from the 1980s, and there was no air conditioning. The floor fan didn't do much in the 35C heat that day. Breakfast had a good selection, though nothing special, and the layout was awkward: it was served on one side of reception, so we had to walk back through reception to reach the seating area. Parking behind the hotel only had space for about 20 cars. If it was full, you had to pay to park on the street. Street parking was free after 8pm, but I wasn't sure until what time the next morning, since I left early.

The location was fantastic, right in the centre, with most places about a 10-15 minute walk away. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially since I don't speak German. The hotel was clean throughout and the beds were comfortable. The standard double room was the size you'd expect, while the junior suite was very spacious. The pool and sauna were relaxing extras. Best hotel in Groß-Gerau.

We had our wedding in one of the function rooms, and the staff were amazing. The hotel is right in the middle of Gross Gerau, with big rooms, a nice bathroom and a really comfy bed. The pool and sauna are there too. Everything was very clean and well looked after. Breakfast was a nice continental buffet with lots of choice. I'd definitely stay here again.

Our car broke down over the weekend, so we had to stay here. We're glad it happened. It turned into one of our best breaks, even though it wasn't planned. The hotel was wonderful, and there were nice walks and short drives to the Rhine.
