We stayed over Catholic Easter and found chocolate Easter eggs waiting on the table. The big two-bedroom apartment had a kitchen with everything you need, though we hardly used it, plus board games and puzzles to keep the kids off their phones. It’s right in the city center, near restaurants, Rewe supermarket, and the train station. The place was clean and quiet, and the owner was especially kind. On our first evening we arrived around 10pm and I asked where I could buy a beer so late. She said it was somewhere nearby but quite far, so I gave up on the idea. About 15 minutes later, she showed up with two beers :)

The house and neighborhood were wonderful, and Silke was one of the coolest, nicest people I met in Germany. I totally recommend staying here. Five stars!

The hostess was quite unfriendly, and I wasn’t told where to park, which left me with a parking ticket. The church beside the apartment starts ringing its bells at 6 a.m. We stayed four nights, and someone, either the owner or another person with a key, went through our belongings. A pair of my shorts is missing, and they knew what clothes I’d brought. It felt very indiscreet. My child did get a Lego car, but I would have preferred peace and privacy. I’ll stay somewhere else next time.
