I was surprised by all the negative comments. For a budget three-star hotel, I found it very good. It’s right in the heart of the city and close to the central train station. At check-in, there are complimentary coffee, tea and water by the entrance. The room was clean and spacious, with a big TV, a large desk and even a coffee maker. I slept very well, though it gets loud at night if you leave the windows open. The corridor stayed quiet overnight. Breakfast was perfect for me, with the salad, fruit and nuts I like having with my meal. The only small drawback was the reception hours. I arrived a bit early for a meeting with my customer and couldn’t check in yet. I sat in the lobby, ate lunch, had free coffee and water, used the bathroom, then went to my customer and came back later to check in.

The breakfast was very good, with plenty of breads, cheeses, meats and fruit. This is a nice little hotel at a very competitive price, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. One of them spoke English more clearly and precisely than most Americans. My room was very clean, and although the bed was a bit small, the size of the accommodation and the overall feel of the room made up for it. You can warm your towels on the steam pipes after a shower. There were three very large windows that opened for fresh air, and they’d also supplied a small fan for circulation.

The room was large and well heated, with a smart TV and coffee machine. The bed was comfortable, though it squeaked a little. The bathroom was spacious and well ventilated, and it had a bathtub. It’s very close to the city centre, with lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance. Parking would be cheaper, but there are plenty of cheaper public parking options nearby. I recommend the EasyPark app if you park in public. Because of my work hours I couldn’t try breakfast, though the restaurant looked good.

Great value, with very clean, stylish rooms, a rather modernized feel and friendly staff. I’d recommend it. One thing the hotel could improve: signs showing where the sockets are, since they’re hidden behind the bedside tables, and smaller jacket hangers. The big wooden ones look beautiful but are difficult to hang things on. If you’re a light sleeper, you may want to close the windows because the train station is nearby.
