Center Parcs Park Eifel

We were unsure whether Aqua Mundo would be warm enough in winter, since some other reviews were negative, but the baby pool was pleasantly warm and our little one loved it. There were plenty of other activities around the park, and we really enjoyed the food at the restaurant and café. The staff were friendly too, even though we speak only a little German. A great place to stay, and I’d recommend it.

The internet was really bad, and service in the bars felt odd, with no hello or thank you. The heating failed, so we spent a night wearing hats and jackets. It was fixed the next day, but then there was no hot water. I tried calling them all day on two different numbers, but nobody answered. This is meant to be the premium package. Later, we paid to do laundry, only to find the machine was broken. Support said someone would come fix it, so we waited in the laundry room for 30 minutes and called again. Then they sent us to the service desk for a refund, where we were told they couldn’t refund us and that she had to speak to her manager. They told us to come back tomorrow. We lost an evening and our money. What a waste.

The park looks recently renovated, and it was a great fit for our little ones, aged 1 and 3. We visited over the long weekend around 11 Nov, a public holiday in BE, so there were lots of Belgians there. The kids had a blast in the pool, especially with the Lego bricks in the kiddie pool and boat floaties in the big pool. Our eldest loved the rope parcours in the Dome, and the outdoor ball run parcours kept all the kids entertained. You can buy a small wooden ball for 2 euros. We also enjoyed Monday evening’s live music. The burgers and cocktails at the Family Bar were delicious and good price quality, and the servers were superfriendly. I don’t understand some of the negative reviews. We had a great stay and will be back!

We booked a whole week to visit our grandchildren, who live in Germany, and came all the way from the US. The swimming accommodations couldn’t be used during our stay because of maintenance, and the water was freezing over the holiday. On the first night, all the electricity went out, then it happened again two nights later. The whole visit was a complete disappointment. We’ve stayed at several Centre Parks locations, and this one was by far the absolute worst. Save your money.
