The rooms were perfectly fine, but at 85 euros, this felt way overpriced for what you get. Breakfast starts at 8 a.m., and the rolls were only half baked, the egg was cold and runny, and the coffee bitter. I was the only one there, too. I can see it working as an option for hikers, but that breakfast really wasn't good.

I rented a furnished apartment in Munich from the Ploner family for years. When I moved out, nearly €3,000 was taken from my deposit for final cleaning that was supposedly done by this guesthouse. They also charged me €300 for a toilet seat that costs €95 new. I strongly recommend staying away from anything connected to this family.

Breakfast was plentiful and very good, and the hotel and room were in excellent shape. I was just passing through, though, and brought dinner with me because there were so few guests that cooking didn't seem worthwhile. The town felt deserted, and the hotel is in the wrong location.

Check-in isn't possible until 5 PM, which is frustrating if you get there early and find there's practically nothing to do in the village. My single room was tiny, the shower didn't work, and at 70 euros a night it was poor value. On this cycling trip, other hotels and guesthouses charged 50 to 55 euros, often for a whole apartment. I wouldn't recommend it.
