Pension Breitenborn

Our room at Pension Breitenborn was clean and attractive, with a magnificent view. Everyone was friendly and attentive, and we felt very comfortable. At Schöne Aussicht, breakfast was especially wonderful; dinner was great too. We had Texas steak, duck, steak, and fish, all beautifully presented and delicious. Thank you!

The pool was a highlight: warm water, plus a clean, well-kept sauna that opens at 3 p.m. There’s also a playroom for children. The food was excellent, though the rooms are quite small. We couldn’t get an extra bed for our daughter, and the bed also stretched out.

The food was very good, but the innkeeper’s manner was shockingly rude. He first told two guests to order their beers together, apparently so he wouldn’t have to make two trips. Later, after another guest had already waited a long time for a beer, he said this wasn’t a place that catered to the innkeeper and that it was a fine dining establishment, adding that people could do that sort of thing in the village. I found his behavior beneath me. I’ll avoid this “village pub” from now on and wouldn’t recommend it.

The owner was exceptionally friendly and did his best to look after guests. We stayed overnight, and the rooms were okay. Breakfast was well prepared for the coronavirus pandemic, plentiful, and fresh, including sausage from the butcher. We could park our bikes in the garage and charge them there. A very nice inn with delicious food.
