The welcome gathering in the Rosengarten on Friday was a lovely start, and the venue’s food and drinks were top-notch. On Saturday, we celebrated in the Bachscheune. The weather cooperated, though knowing the team had a plan B ready still gave us peace of mind. The staff looked after us all day, and guests are still talking about how delicious the food was and how warm and attentive the service felt. Having everyone stay on-site made the weekend feel close-knit and easy, and the location near Frankfurt Airport worked well for guests coming from around the world. Robin handled the accommodation details so thoughtfully, keeping in touch and making sure everyone was comfortable. The rooms were beautiful and cozy. Maren was attentive, friendly, and flexible with our many ideas and requests. She helped us feel at ease both while planning and on the day itself. Maren and Robin were also kind about helping us manage everything in English, which meant a lot since my German isn’t the best. We held our wedding at Hofgut Schmitte, and it turned out to be the special weekend we’d hoped for, and more. We’d wholeheartedly recommend it to couples looking for a magical wedding setting. It’ll always mean a lot to us, and we’re already looking forward to returning one day.

We didn’t get much sleep because several weddings were happening on the property the night we stayed, so that did take away from the experience. Still, the room was great, and we loved the courtyard. The food was faaaaaabulous, honestly some of the best we’ve had at a restaurant in ages. We’d definitely come back!

The atmosphere felt so welcoming, and we were really pleased with the excellent food and service. We’d been looking for a new local restaurant and were happy to come across Hofgut Schmitte. It’s been beautifully restored. We’ll definitely return, especially when it’s warm enough to sit outside. ☺️

There’s quite a bit of history here, and the kitchen is sophisticated. A great place, I strongly recommend going.
