Montana Hotel Kassel-Süd

The staff were the one good part of my stay. They were genuinely kind and tried to find solutions, but didn't really have any way to improve things. I came away feeling the owners don't care about maintaining the hotel, and staff can only do so much. For the price, there are much better places, and the hotel doesn't deserve the rating it advertises. I'd strongly advise against staying here. Avoid it. My room smelled awful, like sewage, as soon as I walked in. The shower was rusted and worn out, and its doors were broken and wouldn't close properly. The room hadn't been cleaned well before I arrived: greasy marks were on the handles and light switches. During my three-day stay, housekeeping never cleaned it. Dust kept building up until I had trouble breathing and sleeping. The bed was old, worn, and extremely uncomfortable. The yellowed bedding looked poorly maintained too. Smoking is allowed in some rooms, leaving a lingering unpleasant smell throughout the hotel. The amenities are also falsely advertised: they promote a gym and spa with photos taken from a nearby facility that has no connection to the hotel. That level of dishonesty is unacceptable.
