Ehlener Poststuben

The place has a small, charming feel, and the staff are attentive and friendly. We stumbled across it a few months back and have returned three times since. You can tell the dishes are made fresh, the difference is clear. Compliments to the chef.

The restaurant is the real highlight, with excellent food made fresh from seasonal vegetables, and they were happy to accommodate individual requests. At the Ehlener Poststube, the rooms are all individually decorated with care. They were fresh and very clean. We'll be back!

The veranda made for a lovely place to sit, and we had a wonderful evening. The service was exceptionally good. We had dinner there as a couple on a summer day, enjoying traditional German food that reminded me of what I knew 50 years ago. Prices seemed a little high, though not too expensive, especially since we could customize our order. Of course, we don't know what their operating costs are.

After a long day on the trails, I could unwind in a cozy, clean room with comfortable beds and a restful night's sleep. The rooms are well equipped for hikers. The staff were especially friendly and always keen to make our stay as pleasant as possible. I had a great stay at the Hotel Ehlener Poststuben, and the food was outstanding. Every dish was a delight, with consistently impressive quality. A wonderful spot for nature lovers and food fans. I'm already looking forward to coming back!
