I’ve stayed here a few times and would pick it again if I’m in Hagen. It’s only a two-minute walk from the university. The rooms are very clean, modern, and look newly renovated, and the staff are always friendly and ready to help. You can also check in late at night at the terminal.

Good for a night or two. The bed was really comfortable, the TV was big, and the shower was fantastic. There’s also a great cafe and restaurant attached to the hotel. No kettle in the room, though.

The room was lovely, with a big, comfortable bed, and the service was friendly and helpful. I’ll stay here again next time I’m in Hagen. It would have earned five stars if there’d been coffee-making facilities in the room.

I stayed in one of the apartments for an extended stay. It had a kitchenette with some basic utensils, a dishwasher, microwave, fridge, and two-ring cooker, but was missing a colander, corkscrew, toaster, draining board, dish cloth, and can opener. Ask how often your apartment will be cleaned when you book: mine was cleaned only weekly, supposedly because of the special rate I negotiated, while the other apartments were cleaned daily. I wasn’t happy about that, which is why I’ve given four stars. The place is modern and very clean, with sizeable, nicely furnished rooms, comfy beds, and great bathrooms. There are two large flat-screen TVs, free mineral water, plenty of parking, and a cafe onsite. A room facing the back is quiet. There’s no garden or other green space to sit in, and no balconies. The windows open, and electric blinds help keep heat out, but there’s no air conditioning. There are no laundry facilities, and no iron or ironing board either.
