The parking area was covered in ice during my stay, making it dangerously slippery. The staff should clear it. Inside, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the heater and amenities like the fridge and hairdryer all worked. The price was fair, though the TV was small. It was cold in the bathroom, which had no heater. The walls are thin, so hallway noise and sounds from neighboring rooms carry through and could bother light sleepers. The internet was somewhat unstable and had no protection. I stayed for two days and enjoyed the visit overall.

The breakfast was good for the price, and the room with a fridge stocked with beer was a nice touch. Guests can note what they've taken on a card and settle up afterward. The rooms are cleaned daily and were reasonably clean, but there's no wardrobe, so for a longer stay you're left living out of your suitcase. There isn't a kettle, tea, or coffee in the room, and although an iron is somewhere on the property, it's unclear where. Service isn't available around the clock, so you may have to wait. The parking can't fit all the cars, which end up scattered around. The hotel is far from town with no public transport. Pool entry costs an extra 5 euros, and the sauna wasn't working.

The only thing missing for me was a small fridge. My room was clean and everything in it worked. The hotel feels a little old, though it's being maintained well. Breakfast was very good, and the staff were pleasant.

It's on a quiet street on the edge of Haiger, near Herborn and the A45. The rooms are clean and practical, though not especially modern. Breakfast felt right for a three-star place, with a few local specialties. I didn't try the restaurant, pool, or sauna, so can't comment on them, though they were there and included in the rate.
