Landgasthof Held

The room was clean, and the bed was standard, but the ceiling was too low for anyone over 1.80 meters. The shower and toilet were in terrible shape and need a full renovation. Some metal parts were rusty, the floor tiles were badly damaged, and the light switch was above the bathroom mirror instead of by the door. From outside, the hotel looks appealing, like a country inn where you'd expect a cozy stay, good food, and a restful night. That wasn't my experience. The food costs far too much for its quality, though there isn't competition nearby. Breakfast was machine coffee and supermarket rolls reheated from a bag of eight. At €40, the price certainly didn't mean better quality.

The spacious hall and very good drinks make this country inn feel like a hidden find. The atmosphere is really pleasant.

The night was quiet, the room clean, and breakfast both good and generous. The staff were friendly too. We wanted for nothing.

A welcoming host, tidy rooms, and very good value for the money.
