I stayed for seven days, and the place felt inhumane. The landlady would run a hand through her greasy hair and then serve our food, so we canceled the meal plans. I ended up ordering food every day because practically nothing at the guesthouse was edible. Breakfast was another problem: she made us choose between scrambled eggs and cold cuts, and the rolls looked and tasted like Aldi rolls even though they were presented as fresh from a bakery. The smell in the lobby and throughout the guesthouse was acrid and disgusting, and I later saw it wasn't being cleaned at all. The house was dirty and run-down, the carpet looked and smelled like it had been through a torture chamber, and it was ridiculously overpriced. The owner was rude and unfriendly. I can't understand the good reviews. I suspect they're bought or fake. This place doesn't deserve even one star.

We paid €80 a night in advance for a double room without breakfast, but left before a second night because we had little confidence in the mattresses. The room had a strong, unpleasant smell, and although it had been roughly cleaned, the carpet was disgusting and the curtains clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time. The welcome was unfriendly, and the bistro was dingy and cluttered with a strong cigarette smell. I can't recommend the place and would advise against it. Zero stars.

At €90 for a double and €40 for a single, you can spend your money better elsewhere. Two tram lines pass right outside the windows, and on weekends they run all night. It's loud. The rooms were the only ones occupied, while everything around us was fully booked, which is understandable. The dirt was everywhere: years of grime on the walls and carpets in the rooms, hallways, and cluttered restaurant, with the edges noticeably lighter. There were large stains in the rooms, especially around the "breakfast buffet," and cables were dangling from the hallway walls. The heavy blinds at the restaurant's back tables were shut, so it was dark even during the day, with a ruin behind them.
