I'd rather spend a bit more for better, more reliable accommodation. I booked another hostel, but they said it was full and sent me to Wira Guesthouse hostel, assuring me everything was fine. When I arrived, they said they were full too, with ten extra people from an overbooking and no idea what to do with them. I was actually glad not to have to stay there, since even the reception floor was very dirty and smelled bad. They aren't serious.

Wira is a good place if all you need in Hamburg is a bed. It's clean and new, and the staff are really friendly and welcoming. The price was the lowest we found. The location is great too, within walking distance of the main train station, with the metro right at the door.

The rooms were about what you'd expect for the price, but the showers were far from inviting. Our group also didn't feel that our belongings were safe, since there was no way to lock our room door.

The place had a shady feel, and the price seemed a bit high. The rooms were clean and the beds were OK.
