The coffee is really good, and I’ve had cakes here that are hard to beat. I still haven’t seen the alpacas, but this lovely spot by the Niederrhein has become one of my favorites. It’s a nice place to pause on a bike ride or just sit and unwind.

We’ll be back more often. The cake and coffee are delicious, and the atmosphere is lovely.

That was my last visit. After I mentioned that the €4.80 hot chocolate I’d ordered for my daughter wasn’t made with milk, the owner and staff spoke to me loudly and rudely in front of the other guests and my young daughter. They said I must only know instant hot chocolate and had no idea what real hot chocolate tastes like. I can tell the difference between one made with water and one made with milk. They kept bothering me until I left the café as quickly as I could. There was no apology, or even an explanation that they were sorry it hadn’t tasted good. A real shame.

We keep coming back, and yesterday’s visit during our motorcycle tour was lovely as usual. The cake is delicious, and the garden is a great place to sit at tables and chairs beneath the old trees. We highly recommend the café.

The alpacas are so cute, and it’s lovely to enjoy a glass of wine alongside homemade cake at the cozy country café. The apartment is beautiful and very well equipped. Absolutely recommended.
