Really good.

The rooms were reasonably clean, but there was no dependable Wi-Fi and the TV had no channels. The mattress, well... And nobody cleaned or made up the beds during our stay. A total waste of money.

The bathrooms were modern and newly equipped in both rooms, and my single room looked modern too. The double room my parents used had more of a rustic feel, though it had no mosquito net. Mosquitoes kept them from sleeping well, and only one of the two beds had been made up when we arrived. There were also some cleanliness issues: my stepfather removed a lot of spiders and their nests from behind the bed. In my ground-floor single room, I would have liked another curtain because the parking lot is right outside the window. The bed gave me quite a bit of back pain, though otherwise the room was okay. We booked four nights, but arriving was confusing. We weren't sure where to park or which entrance to use, and the signs could be better. Once I found the entrance and asked, someone explained everything. The staff were friendly and helpful. I understand how demanding it is to look after guests with limited staff. Still, the owners should decide whether they can run a guesthouse alongside room rentals, with breakfast and possibly dinner. If they choose to rent rooms only, the website should make that clear. For self-catering, every room really needs a refrigerator, even a mini-fridge. Yogurt, cheese, and sausage won't stay fresh for long, especially in summer, and throwing food away wastes money too. They could also consider partnering with the local bakery, which might work well for both sides. The whole setup needs revisiting, with self-catering and room rental made clear, including whether breakfast and possibly dinner are offered. I also wish the innkeeper a smooth birth and the family all the best.

Room 8 was excellent, and the house was really nice. It was also very quiet, with friendly service. We'd gladly return.
