Hotel Römerhof by Trip Inn

We were a family of four and had everything we needed. The room was clean, housekeeping was perfect, and the receptionists were friendly. Great location too. Greetings from Macedonia 🇲🇰

The place is filthy all over, even after cleaning. There was hair and dust everywhere, and the fresh sheets were dirty too. When I arrived, the room wasn't ready, and the pillow had yellow, finger-sized stains left by the previous guests. 🤮 The city-center location sounds good, but the area itself is really bad. The one positive was the receptionist, whose manner and demeanor suited her job very well. That's about all I can say.

Our rooms were clean, but the bathrooms were small and really unpleasant. We stayed Saturday to Sunday, and it sounded like a party was going on in the restaurant downstairs all night. The music was much too loud. Service was difficult, so I gave it one star, and the price gets one star too. A double room was €60 a night at 50% off, which makes the €30 early check-in fee far too high in my opinion. Our first room, despite being non-smoking, was full of cigarette smoke. After we complained, they moved us to one that smelled less bad.

The room smelled like a sewage treatment plant, making it one of the worst hotel rooms I've ever had. In the shower, the tiles were broken, the door wouldn't shut, and the shower head couldn't be set at the height I needed. The TV was crooked on the wall. Fresh sheets and towels arrived by taxi without being wrapped, the same way everyone's dirty suitcases were transported. We've documented everything in case the hotel denies it, and we're considering contacting the health department. I can't recommend Hotel Römerhof to anyone.
