Ferienhof Budach

I spend a lot of time traveling around Germany for work as a technician, so I get to see plenty of rooms and holiday apartments. This one was clean, comfortable, and had the equipment I needed. You do have to share the bathroom, which is the one drawback. Still, I’d recommend it.

We were only here for one night, and the stay was easy from start to finish. The apartment was spotless and well cared for, and the hosts were so friendly. They could also arrange breakfast at 7 in the morning, with fresh rolls and coffee or tea if you asked. Five stars from us.

It’s peaceful here, with no traffic noise, even though the town is only five minutes away. There’s an Edeka nearby for everyday essentials. The rooms are great and have everything, though you’ll need to bring your own towels as mentioned. The owners are very welcoming, and they even brought fresh rolls to our door in the morning.

We first stayed at Ferienhof Budach years ago and have kept coming back. On a later visit we spent six nights there to explore more of Schleswig-Holstein, and Mr. and Mrs. Budach were just as excellent as before. The region was well worth the time, and left us wanting to see more. Our first stay was cozy, spotless, and very reasonably priced. We also enjoyed the good breakfast in a particularly pleasant breakfast room. The owner and his wife are friendly people, and we hoped to return. Glücksburg, with its lovely castle, is about 17 km away and easy to reach. It’s a good reason to add a night, especially on the way to Scandinavia when the weather is nice. Excellent.
