DORMERO Hotel Hannover

The rooms were clean and nicely furnished, though a few spots showed wear. Staff were friendly, and the included extras were a nice touch: drinks in the minibar and hotel lobby. Breakfast had a great selection. The hotel is quite close to the center, with public transport almost right outside.

We were a short walk from a beautiful river, and there were plenty of places to eat, plus two REWE grocers across the street. Many sights were easy to reach on foot, though touring Hannover and nearby cities meant more than 15,000 steps a day, so bring good shoes. The hotel was clean, simple and modern, and the staff were superb. We visited in March. It took about 15 minutes to walk to Hannover's main train station, and a U rail station was within a block. Breakfast cost extra, but was worth every euro. As an American, I was very pleased with the stay. I'd return here or try one of their other European hotels after this experience. Danke!

This was good value, and the hotel really does welcome cats, unlike many places that say they're pet friendly but only take dogs. Both rooms we booked were clean and in good condition, and the welcome drink was an unexpected extra. We didn't try breakfast. The U-bahn is nearby, and you can walk to the city center if you like. On-site parking costs 19 EUR a day, but nearby spaces are free after 6 pm until 9 am and on Sundays; there are also a few large free lots closer to the lake. One evening and the following morning, there was a strong weed smell on the third floor and in the elevator. That seemed down to inconsiderate guests rather than the hotel or staff.

A perfect pick if you're going to a concert nearby, and the location is great in general. Pets are more than welcome, and the staff were very polite and friendly. Service was great.
