The room felt really roomy, and I liked how the lighting worked. Little motion-sensor lights came on for nighttime trips to the bathroom, while the main lights stayed on for a couple of minutes after I removed the key, giving me time to gather my things. The WiFi worked great, too. Breakfast had loads to choose from, including meats, cheeses, bread, yogurt and applesauce, and they made eggs to order.

I’ve enjoyed staying here twice now. The rooms feel modern and new, the staff and management are very friendly, and breakfast is wonderful. The hotel is in a lovely town. The bar shuts at 6 pm, but there’s an honor bar afterward. I’d happily stay again.

Breakfast had a lovely range of food and drinks, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms are new and spacious, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. When we arrived, though, there was an unpleasant smell in the room. It was clean, and I can’t say what caused it, but the smell eventually went away. The bigger issue for us was the motion sensor lights under the bed. Our baby wakes during the night, and each time the lights came on they shone right in his face. I had to block them with pillows and clothes. It’d be helpful to have a normal way to switch them off. We’d still stay here again when we’re in the area. We’ll just have to sort out those lights from the beginning.

We found a beautiful place to stay, opened in March 2020, where the family owners clearly take an interest in their guests. They had secure parking for our motorcycles, and the beer was reasonably priced. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance, and everyone spoke English. Breakfast was delicious, with local bacon and scrambled eggs. We’re definitely coming back!
