Landhaus Hechtsberg

The indoor atmosphere is nice, and there's also a beautiful garden dining area outside. The family runs the place and the service is friendly and efficient. They serve excellent local food along with other German and European dishes. Definitely worth a visit.

I was relieved to find this place after a rough late-night search. I got to Germany from the US, and the hotel I usually stay at was closed by the time I arrived at 10:30 pm. Everywhere else was full or an hour or more away. Here, the door was locked and the lights were out, and after I pressed the call button and got no answer for a few minutes, I started walking away. Then a head appeared from the window above. The woman came down, saw I was in the right place, and without hesitation handed me a key and welcomed me in. She said I could give my card details the next day, no worries then. At 1:00 in the morning, she didn't have to let me in or keep the door open while I got my things. The room was spacious, clean, modern, really big, and comfortable. There's a little road noise, but for the price and the people working here, I could put that aside and enjoy my stay. I was about to sleep in my car before a bunch of business meetings, so thank you to the woman who let me in. Seriously a life saver. I'll come back and recommend others stay here too.

I needed somewhere at the last minute. There was no electric charging or air conditioning, and although the staff tried to help, the location wasn't good.

The facility is in very good condition and the kitchen and food are very good. Breakfast selection, though, is very small. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, but all in all, I clearly recommend it for a short stay.
