Aparthotel Adagio Heidelberg

The room was impeccably clean. Our check-in was handled by the night attendant, and it was one of the nicest we’ve had in a while. He was organized, quick, and efficient, while still bringing some warmth to a freezing winter night. Thanks again!

We booked through Hotels.com without any trouble, and paid the city tax directly at the hotel. The main letdown was check-in. The receptionist, Alina, wasn’t openly rude, but she felt unwelcoming. Her replies to ordinary questions sounded impatient or dismissive, and although she smiled, her tone and body language seemed irritated. After a long journey, that made for an uncomfortable welcome. We stayed a week to visit our son, whose dorm is right across the street. The location is excellent, beside the main train station and handy for getting around. It’s an aparthotel, with a small kitchen in the room, including a fridge, microwave, and basic cookware, useful if you want to make meals. Breakfast is optional, and complimentary coffee is available in the lobby in the morning. There were several problems during the stay. The heating didn’t work in winter, and rather than fixing it, the hotel supplied only a small portable heater, so the issue remained unresolved. The shower temperature also changed abruptly and sometimes went cold. Housekeeping is only once a week, with extra cleaning charged separately. Towels can be exchanged at reception.

We had to stay at the hotel for a month with our cat because of some problems with our apartment, and it worked out really well. The receptionists were amazing and always handled any issues with a good attitude. We can’t say enough good things about the team. Thank you so much!

The location is perfect if you use public transport, and it’s easy to get around Heidelberg from there. Rooms are spacious, well equipped, very clean, and comfortable. The pillows weren’t comfortable, though, and I hope they upgrade them. For this kind of hotel, it’s amazing. There’s parking on site, but spaces are limited and shared with the neighboring hotel.
