There’s no restaurant, and not many services nearby. The location felt a bit isolated, about 850 metres from the station and 3 km from the tourist old town. Reception wasn’t staffed after around 4 pm, though there was a lockbox for late check-in. Rooms were cleaned daily, but otherwise service was minimal. Using the laundry facility cost €15. We were very pleased with our stay at SUYTES. Our large, modern suite was clean and had a kitchen, dining area, living room, separate bedroom and two patios. The kitchen came with a fridge, stove, oven, dishwasher, dishes, pots, pans and utensils. There was A/C and an in-room safe, too. The bathroom was large, with plenty of counter space and several charging outlets. The firm bed was very comfortable, with crisp white linens. The one small complaint was the lighting: just two tiny reading lamps in the bedroom and dim lamps in the living and dining area.

We didn’t see any staff until we left. Check-in was done using a key card in a locker, which worked fine, and an internet page had all the information and service options. The room was comfortable enough, if nothing special. The furniture had seen better days, and the kitchen was missing some basic utensils. The bathroom was quite good. Suytes business hotel is handy for the Montpellierbrücke tram/bus stop and Heidelberg central train station. The neighborhood isn’t very pretty, and the city centre takes about 20-25 minutes to walk to, or less if you take the tram for the first part. I’d recommend it if you want to be near Heidelberg’s public transport hub, but I’d look elsewhere for a more luxurious room or a stay closer to the city centre.

I was lucky enough to get a suite, and it was really nice, with a comfortable bed, two small balconies, a kitchen and a separate living room. The hotel has regular rooms and suites, as you’d expect from the name. Breakfast starts at 07:30 am and is served in a very small room. The neighborhood is ugly, and the hotel is outside the old town, not within walking distance of it or nice restaurants. There’s McDonald and Pizza Hut nearby, though.

I arrived at 17:00 to find nobody at reception. The door had a phone number, but nobody answered when I called twice. After searching online, I found another number and reached someone who directed me to a safe, where I entered a password and picked up my room card. There was no information about the wifi password. Having no reception like this is really impractical.
