Leonardo Hotel Heidelberg City Center

Reception staff, especially Sahar Mohamed, made a huge difference during a stressful stay. I lost my car keys while travelling with my baby, and she stayed friendly, supportive, and understanding throughout. Her patience, kindness, and willingness to help turned a difficult situation into a comfortable experience. I'm deeply grateful for her steady assistance and genuine care. I'd highly recommend this hotel for its comfort and for the outstanding service and human touch from people like Sahar Mohamed.

The rooms were roomy and clean, and the price felt like a good deal. Service was good, breakfast was standard, and the location was central. The awkward part was getting in from the garage: we had to wait for reception to open the door, since there was no card reader for hotel access. Also, guests with dogs couldn't have breakfast in the main dining room. That hasn't been an issue for us at other hotels. It cost €20 per dog.

The location was very good, breakfast excellent, staff helpful, and the price reasonable. The view from the window was awesome too. But cleanliness in the room was a letdown, and that's the thing I care about most in a hotel, so I wouldn't return. There were unidentified hairs on the towels and bedding, though I do think the linens were fresh and maybe the cleaner had dropped the hairs. The nightstand hadn't been wiped, with visible liquid marks, and the chair looked dirty. There was some whitish substance on its cushion, and I'd rather not guess what it was. The carpet by the bathroom had spill marks too. Maybe those stains can't be removed, but they left a poor impression.

I'm so disappointed. Last September, during my stay at this hotel, my Valentino belt went missing from the room. I think someone from housekeeping took it. This is the first time anything like this has happened to me at a hotel. Please lock up valuables and don't leave them out.
