Hotel & Restarant Ausspann

We were glad it was only one night. Our twin room was so cramped that there was barely room for a small bedside table between the two narrow single beds, which were pushed against the walls. It wasn't especially hot outside, but the room was unbearably warm. The owners' German seemed limited, and we didn't find them very friendly. The low price should have been a clue. I wouldn't stay again.

We ate later that evening, and the staff were just as friendly as at reception. The owner chatted with most of the guests and even bought everyone a drink, despite a large party being there. I booked that afternoon and was told on arrival that the rooms were still being cleaned, but they let me leave my luggage and shower anyway. It's a very good budget hotel near Dresden. Some renovation is underway, especially at the back, but there are places to sit indoors or out. Breakfast is simple but enough, and there was no pressure to check out.

The double rooms are tiny, barely enough room to sleep without being right beside your neighbors. Showers leave puddles, and the towels were dusty. It took half an hour to get my bill ready, and staff got an attitude when I asked for a breakdown. They also tried to charge us for breakfast we hadn't eaten. It's okay if you're stuck, but next time I'd rather go somewhere with better service.

Awful place, dirty and cramped room, and the sink didn't work. The host told us not to wear masks. I felt like fleas were biting me all night. Don't go there.
