Heilbronner Hotel am schönen Theater

We booked three rooms for five days in June, but left the next morning and stayed somewhere else. One person in our group has a severe disability and very limited mobility. Despite several messages beforehand, we found on arrival that the property was not wheelchair accessible, despite what the hotel listing on Booking.Com said. The basic stairlift wasn’t suitable for someone unable to move and was dangerous because it didn’t sit flush with the floor at the top. We spoke with manager Bedran Tas for half an hour. He was unsympathetic and uninterested in our situation, and kept refusing to refund the three nights we couldn’t stay because the hotel wasn’t accessible. The listing also claimed a 24-hour front desk, but all staff leave by 21.00; a garden, though there wasn’t one; soundproof rooms, despite noise from traffic and nearby establishments; and room service, though there were no phones in the rooms and no staff on site after 21.00. The rooms were very Spartan and ridiculously hot without air conditioning, and opening the windows wasn’t possible because of the traffic noise. One room had ants on the surfaces and floors, only one of the three fridges worked, and no travel cot was provided. The whole place was awful, like somewhere rooms are rented by the hour.

The managers were really welcoming and nice. The room was super clean, and there’s a cozy restaurant for breakfast, especially handy on Sundays when everything else is closed in the morning.

Clean, good, and inexpensive.

The hotel is beautiful and clean, just as described. The reception is the best 👌
