Stay away. I used to have a lovely stay here, but not this time. From day two there was no TV or WiFi, and the room was tiny. The main street door was propped open all day and until 11.30 on Sunday night, with people coming and going carrying trays and clothes. Building work could be heard during the day and until 11.30 at night. One of the men moving things approached my 22 year old daughter inappropriately. Don't go.

I came because a fair (Messe) meant there was nothing available around Essen. It was clean and quiet, and although public transport took a bit longer, it was manageable. Google Maps showed the right way. They also kindly brought me an iron at no extra cost. An iron isn't a basic here, but I could still manage without one. Really kind, thanks!

The entry code was more than an hour late. Once I finally reached the room, it hadn't been cleaned after the previous guest. I was promptly promised a cancellation and refund over the phone, but I'm still waiting for the money. They haven't kept their word. One star is generous. Absolutely unacceptable, stay away!
