It could have been cleaner.

It was okay.

Dinner was really good, and the hotel was peaceful, with a lovely beer garden. The rooms are very basic, though, and the bathroom feels oversized compared with the room. Breakfast came as a platter prepared for our table rather than a buffet. Still, it was a good stay.

The beer garden was inviting and well kept, and our group of nine had a lovely table there at 6 p.m. on July 29, 2017. We were surprised to be the only guests, and there was still nobody else when we left. Our server was friendly and attentive despite some language difficulties, and drinks and ordering were quick. The food took an hour or perhaps longer, which was disappointing, but it was delicious. My starter was langos with sour cream, garlic, and cheese, absolutely delicious. The main dishes were good too. The meat, including the schnitzel, was freshly prepared and top-notch, while the fries and fried potatoes were frozen and nothing special. The prices felt fair. I can't understand why the restaurant isn't busier. The wait can put you off, but the langos and well-prepared meat make up for it. Four stars from me, and I'll be back, if only for the langos! : )
