We ate there twice during our island stay, and both times the food blew us away. Everything was freshly prepared in-house. When we ordered Schnitzel, we could actually hear the meat being pounded in the kitchen before it was breaded. For cordon bleu, it was pounded, filled, and breaded. The fish was fresh and fried perfectly, and all the sauces were delicious and homemade. So good, with a great wine selection. If we're back on Helgoland, we'll definitely return.

We only had lunch there, and were really pleased with it. The steak was cooked just right, the fish plate was very good, and the service was nice. Make sure to reserve a table early.

This was our second visit to Mocca-Stuben this year. We stayed in the hotel last year and in the apartment this time. Last year's stay showed me how attentive and friendly the hotel can be, but what happened this year really showed the kind of people behind it. We had to leave at short notice because of a death in the family. The owner didn't press us for details and only charged for the time we had actually stayed. Everyone else at the hotel treated us with great kindness too. It may not sound like a very professional review, but I don't know how else to put it: they were incredibly kind when I was completely overwhelmed. Instead of pointing to terms and conditions, they helped us without fuss or lots of questions. They even took care of our luggage transport and let us drop the bags off on departure day, though that wasn't really planned. I can wholeheartedly recommend the hotel, especially the people behind it. Thank you again for helping us. We'd love to come back sometime. Thanks for everything.
