We loved being able to enjoy the quiet around the house in Hecken. It’s a really cute place, though shopping may mean driving depending on your fitness level. The house was clean, and while we wouldn’t especially recommend renting the bed linens, we’d happily get in touch with the friendly owners again for another Eifel holiday.

The scenery around the place is beautiful, and the neighbors are a real help, especially the owners of the banquet hall. Inside, it’s romantic and has everything you might need.

It feels as if you’ve reached the end of the world, in the best way. This stylish, lovely place suited two small families, and time seemed to pass at its own pace.
