I haven’t had breakfast yet, but I saw something I had to report to the hotel, since they read these reviews. I can’t see the park, and there’s nobody around. Okay, it’s 300 m away, but then why call it Parkhotel? The place is a bit old.

Overall, it’s a nice place, and they leave gummy bears on the pillows. If you’re arriving by train, this is the only hotel in town that’s really walkable. The catch is check-in is no later than 22-23:00, which could be tricky if your train runs late.

Breakfast is good and the rooms are fairly well kept, so it’s a fine place for a one-night stop when travelling elsewhere. There isn’t much to see nearby, though. The rooms are small, there’s no air-conditioning, and the furnishings look old and worn, including the carpet. There are lots of decorations, from a full metal suit of armour to framed pictures of dogs in uniforms. I wouldn’t stay here for an extended period.

We first stayed here on 31th October 2015, travelling home to The Netherlands from Poland. The hotel is right in the center of the old town, and the staff were friendly. Our room was good and clean, and dinner was superb. I’d never had such a good fillet steak. At breakfast, the smoked salmon melted on the tongue and the bacon was really crispy. We’ll be back and can recommend it to everyone!

A cosy, very nice place, with clean, fresh rooms. The restaurant has a tidy vintage look, and there’s lots of tasty food. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and supportive.
