The apartment was well equipped with a TV, video, DVD, radio, sofa bed, and games, and the beach is very close. But there was no sea view or balcony, and those options weren’t available when we booked. Apartment 12 was on the second floor, with no elevator, and faced a busy street where the noise started early. Sleeping with the windows open wasn’t really possible. For cooking when the weather was bad, we only had dishes. There was no salt, pepper, or sugar. The keys had to be collected at the other end of town and returned there at checkout, even though there’s a key safe. For three people over four nights, the apartment had just two rolls of toilet paper, about ten sheets of kitchen roll, four coffee filters, and two garbage bags. Nothing else was supplied. The office was only staffed a few hours a day, when we were usually out, and it wasn’t responsible for the apartment we’d booked. The vacuum barely worked, and the broom was worn out. Staff in Emden said two rolls of toilet paper were included and anything else had to be bought separately. After 12 years of travelling and taking vacations, I’ve never had to buy my own toilet paper. I’m disappointed. You don’t even provide enough toilet paper for your guests. Shame on you! I’ll avoid this booking platform from now on.
