The location is hard to beat, only a few minutes on foot from the beach and close to the pier and the town centre. We had a lovely view of the Baltic Sea from our balcony. The hotel looks rather dated outside, but the rooms are modern, practical, and clean. Parking in front of the hotel costs €15 and is optional. Breakfast is €20 for anyone aged 12 or over, which I find unreasonable. Still, there’s a small kitchen available and a bakery nearby, so it’s manageable. We’ll definitely be back.

The staff were very friendly, and the pool, sauna, and indoor playground were all included in the price. The small pool looked very clean and had loungers. For that, the hotel felt like good value. It’s also in a great spot, within walking distance of the train station and just a few steps from the pier. I’d read that the hotel was dated, and that’s true of the architecture, but the rooms were in good shape, clean, and modernly furnished. The main problem for us was the sleeping setup in the vacation apartment. We were there as a family with one child, and the double bed was too narrow for three, even with a small child. One adult ended up on the sofa and the other in bed with the child. The sofa wasn’t a pull-out, so it was cramped and uncomfortable. The bed was more comfortable, but there was no fall protection, and it couldn’t be pushed against the wall. That made for a frustrating stay, since a good night’s sleep is one of the most important parts of a vacation. Breakfast, which gets a lot of praise in the reviews, was pretty average. Some fruit and vegetables were already a bit dried out on the first morning. The toast was always wrapped in cling film and felt very dry when unwrapped, making me wonder if it had already been toasted. It wasn’t very appetizing. There were also lots of sugary treats for the kids, like Monte or Müller rice pudding. I’d like to see a bit more care around that and less sugar, plus a list of allergens.

The pool and indoor playground were the highlights for the kids, and our apartment was a good size. Inside, the spa hotel was neat and modernly furnished, though from the outside it looked very run-down. The location was fantastic, but evenings could be noisy. We found the breakfast buffet too expensive at €20 per person, and some of the staff seemed a little unmotivated. Even so, we had a pleasant family vacation there.
