Steigenberger Grandhotel & Spa

Heringsdorf and the surrounding area are beautiful, and I love walking there in fall and winter before heading to the spa. But the pools I used to enjoy were so cold on this visit that I only got in up to my knees before leaving. The saunas weren’t heated until three in the afternoon, either. I don’t want to spend that kind of money on a cold spa, so this was definitely my last visit. Breakfast looked good, but the food quality seemed to have dropped as well. For example, the fruit salad tasted processed, as if it had been cut a while ago. I’ve been here before, but this last visit was just disappointing.

The spa was incredible, and I really enjoyed the saunas. Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the hotel is close to the beach. I enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is included and was great, though some labels for the food and a few vegan options would be nice.

The room was cold because the heating wasn’t working, and parking at the hotel costs 24 euros per day, so be careful. We also ordered two bottles of water and had to pay 20 euros for them. Not recommended.

We’ve stayed at the Steigenberger Grand Hotel a couple of times and keep wanting to return. The staff greeted us warmly at the entrance and made us feel comfortable throughout. I love the distinctive maritime-style interior. Our rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious, with views of the sea and lots of beautiful sunrises. After long walks on the beach, we used the spa every day. It has large heated pools, both indoors and outside, plus a sauna area. The bar has everything you need for a fun, relaxing evening. Breakfast offered lots of fresh, tasty food and drinks, and the staff were outstandingly attentive. I was more than relaxed and happy after our stays, and absolutely recommend experiencing the special feeling the “Steigenberger Grand Hotel” offers.
