Villa Helene - Appartement 6

We had a bedroom with a double bed and wardrobe, and our son slept on the living room sofa. The sitting room has no small lamp, so in the evenings we had to use the main light. The balcony worked well for meals. You can't see the Baltic Sea, but you can hear it, and parking is a bit tight. It's a beautiful old villa in the second row, still close to the beach, with Wi-Fi, dishwasher, oven, toaster, coffee maker, and kettle.

The villa's location is good, but we're disappointed with the rest. Apartment 1 downstairs is tiny, and anyone over 1.80m has to duck. The so-called bathroom is extremely cramped. The apartment and villa photos look like they were taken in better days, and the terrace needs some care too. The price doesn't feel justified.

We didn't miss any amenities in this ground-floor place. It has two bedrooms, a roomy living room, and a small open kitchen with a dining table and four chairs, plus a little terrace. The location is central, with the beach a short walk away and several good restaurants nearby. The only drawback was the bathroom, which felt cramped and a bit dated.

The villa is in a prime spot, and you can walk in minutes to the bakery, grocery store, shops, or beach. The ice cream shop on the corner was the best, especially the Kinderbueno. Parking is in a backyard across the street, not at the house. Key pickup is a short distance away, and the reception was very friendly and explained everything clearly. Returning the apartment was simple too. We stayed in VH6 in the attic, up two floors with no elevator. Even in the high temperatures, it never got hot inside. There are two bedrooms with double beds, a shower bathroom, a kitchenette and dining area, plus a living space with a sofa, armchair, and Wi-Fi. The connection doesn't really reach the back bedroom. Everything was clean when we arrived, and linen was provided. The house is very noisy. Also, keep the large key with you: after ten days, the main door was locked at 8 p.m. 🤭😒 The shower tray is tiny, and the faucet should be replaced. It's so small that you keep bumping the handle, which makes the water suddenly cold or extremely hot. The kitchen has no oven, just a microwave with a grill function. We couldn't figure out how to set it without instructions, and it wasn't obvious. I'd give it a fifth star if the faucet were changed and the back bedroom's double bed, now with one mattress, had two single mattresses instead. For me every night was rough seas, because when one person moved, everything shook on the other side.
