We enjoyed our stay very much. The villa is centrally located, and while the furnishings are a bit dated, that also means it’s peaceful. There was plenty of crockery, which we haven’t always found elsewhere. We booked access to the swimming pool at the Hotel zur Post too, and would definitely do that again.

You’re incredibly close to the beach in this sweet little attic apartment. It can get a little warm in summer, but opening all the windows to air it out makes it very pleasant. It’s perfect for a small family with one or two children, and I’d definitely book it again.

Apartment number 5 was clean and well furnished, but those things couldn't make up for the problems that took away from our holiday. There was a stale food smell throughout from the Greek restaurant directly underneath. A machine in the restaurant kitchen, maybe a fridge or extractor fan, kept switching on and off and humming in the apartment, making it impossible to rest. After we firmly reminded the restaurant owner several times about the quiet hours, which apply to him too, it did get quieter. When we contacted the rental agency, we got the impression they knew about the issues and were keen to offer a small financial compensation. We couldn't get a response from the owner directly, which didn't seem professional. We later found out by chance that previous tenants had already reported the same things. It's a shame these issues diminished the value of the apartment and the holiday, and gave us the impression that the underlying problems mattered less than making money.

Our family had planned a lovely holiday, but it ended in disappointment. We stayed in the back building, and it was a disaster. The place was dirty and poorly cleaned, with dust and grime everywhere. The mattresses were filthy, the laminate floor badly scratched, and the wallpaper was either poorly painted or covered in scribbles. The terrace was so small that the table and chairs took up nearly all the space. Some rooms had no privacy screens despite facing other apartments, and the downstairs bedrooms couldn't be darkened. The landlord promised to fix things, but nothing was done. For its condition, the house was completely overpriced and not worth half the asking price. It supposedly sleeps up to 12, but there's only one shower for everyone and a fridge so small it would only suit 2-3 people. Good luck with that.
