SEETELHOTEL Villa Waldesruh

We had a lovely time in Heringsdorf, helped by sunny weather that meant we could relax at the beach and hardly spend any time in the apartment. The beachside location was ideal. Inside, though, the kitchen equipment was very inadequate, with appliances that were either broken or old. The apartment also cost far too much.

The loggia is listed, but not every room or apartment comes with one, and you only find that out when you arrive. The living room seating is anything but comfortable, and every step from the other residents can be heard. You’ll need to sleep very soundly, too, because the refrigerator hums constantly and its noise spreads through the whole kitchenette. There’s a microwave described as “built-in” sitting right in the middle of the already too-small dining table, and it isn’t even plugged in. Very thoughtful! The fitted kitchen looks practically ready to fall apart, despite the house supposedly having been renovated in 2020. Villa Waldesruh is managed by the SEETELHOTEL Pommerscher Hof, where friendly receptionists seem to be a rare sight.

We got to view the property before our holiday and cancelled the booking. The garden looked neglected, and there’s a bus and resort train stop directly in front of the house.

Historic charm, and a holiday apartment that’s well equipped. The kitchen and bathroom were in excellent condition.
