Pension Schwarzer Amboß

You get great prices and they even take time for a chat. The fries are fantastic, and the schnitzel is the best for miles around. It's pounded fresh and pan-fried when you order, not pre-made.

You feel at home as soon as you arrive, and the owner tries to take care of any request as quickly as possible. I eat out a lot and have never had fried potatoes this good. The shashlik sauce was delicious, though the meat wasn't particularly good quality. I highly recommend the restaurant, though my rating is 4 out of 5 stars.

Parking is the one drawback, since finding a spot comes down to luck. Otherwise, we had a great time at this lovely inn right in the heart of Hausen. We sat in the beer garden on a beautiful day, and the food and drinks were very good. There was plenty to choose from, prices were reasonable, and I'll definitely return.

Alex and her team are always smiling and have a kind word for everyone, which makes for a really friendly, pleasant atmosphere. The food was always excellent, whether it was Sunday roast, schnitzel, or a vegetarian option. They also hold legendary celebrations there quite often 😁.
