We loved the Friday barbecue evening, the breakfasts, and the modern, comfortable rooms. The owners are friendly and welcoming, and the balcony has lovely views. It’s a quiet little family-run haven in the Harz. You’ll need a car for shops or other restaurants. There’s one 150m away that was fine, but there isn’t much variety. We’ll be back.

We were on a tight schedule, and the staff arranged an earlier breakfast for us. The owners and managers were extremely helpful throughout. The surrounding area is a marvel too. A wonderful hotel, highly recommended.

8/10
The rooms were spotless, which was my main priority, and there was plenty of parking space for our trailer. The location is ideal for hiking in the nearby nature reserve. Our room had a slightly closed-up smell, like a wardrobe that’s been shut for ages, so we aired it for a few minutes and it was fine. I also liked the little notes around the hotel showing care for the environment. Breakfast was very simple, though the bread would be easier for guests to take if it were on a plate instead of in plastic bags. All in all, a really good hotel.

The terrace was a nice touch, and the room was pleasant too. It’s in a romantic, rural setting near the river.

It’s a very quiet, nice place with friendly staff. There isn’t much of a town here, though, so you have to drive to find restaurants.
