The Place Herzogenaurach

We were only looking for a quick night near the highway, but found a really high-tech, comfortable place. The self check-in made our late arrival easy. I liked the minimalist modern decor, especially how the colorful modern art in the lobby and hallways stands out against it. The bed and pillows were super comfortable, and everything felt neat and good quality, from the bathroom tiles to the coffee glasses.

The rooms are new and well equipped, but the single rooms have very small beds. There’s also a noise problem: the pipes aren’t properly insulated, so you can hear water bubbling all night.

Very basic, but comfortable, and everything was super clean. The rooms feel extremely bare and clinical. The location is all right if you’re here for business in the village, but otherwise I don’t see much reason to come here. Also odd that a room for a couple has only one breakfast stool and one dining chair.

The staff are super friendly, and the breakfast is modern and great. It’s the little details that make it: there’s a Soundbox and welcome water waiting in the room, plus a new Nespresso machine with capsules. The bright room and large desk make it a great pick for business trips. Totally recommend it.
