The homemade rolls and carefully prepared toppings at breakfast were wonderful, and we even got a little lesson on herbs to try at home. Our family reunion here was a lovely experience. Many thanks from all of us, we’d be happy to come back.

The quiet rural setting meant I couldn’t hear a thing, and I slept very well in the comfortable bed. My room was spotless, as was the modern bathroom with its shower. I had a spacious double room for single occupancy under the roof in the annex, with a mix of antique and newer furniture. The entrance area felt welcoming and cozy, with a fireplace, comfortable seats, tables, chairs, a beautiful antique display cabinet, and a fridge stocked with drinks at very reasonable prices. The renovated stairs were clean too. Breakfast was carefully laid out and included fresh rolls, cold cuts, eggs, homemade jam, coffee, tea on request, dessert, and more. The owner was friendly and accommodating. I can wholeheartedly recommend this charming, comfortable hotel.

The Klostermann family are kind and helpful, and I always enjoy staying here. Breakfast is delicious, with something for everyone: homemade jam and sausage from their own hunting grounds, homemade apple juice, honey from across the street, and an egg if you ask. They serve it at whatever time suits you. There’s a kettle in the room with tea and coffee, and the bathroom has toiletries ranging from soap and a toothbrush to feminine hygiene products. Free Wi-Fi is only available now and then because network coverage across the whole town is poor, which isn’t the Klostermanns’ fault.

The breakfast is plentiful, fantastic, and incredibly tasty, with excellent homemade ingredients. It’s a beautiful farm with spacious rooms, and I’d highly recommend a stay, whether you’re cycling through or spending a few days exploring the Weserbergland region. We’d definitely return.
