Hotel Meyer

The location worked perfectly for my short walk to the airfield. It’s a simple hotel, but comfortable, clean, and well organised. The service was friendly and welcoming, and I enjoyed both breakfast and dinner.

We stayed in December 2022 while travelling through Germany, and the location near the no 7 highway was handy. The modern room had enough space for our family of four, and breakfast had plenty to choose from. The hostess was lovely, and we felt at home. We drove an electric car, and there are four chargers on two pillars, each 11 kW. The Wirelane app didn’t really work for us, but Mobility+ did, and it covers most chargers in Germany.

I stayed here in October 2023 and really liked the hotel. There’s parking for guests, and it’s close to the freeway. I enjoyed walking around the area and hope to come back. The owner was very friendly.

We arrived on a Sunday evening, when the family observes Ruhetag, but that was no issue. They gave us clear directions for getting our keys and entering the hotel and rooms. The family owners were friendly and helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean, and looked recently refurbished. The restaurant and bar were closed that evening. Breakfast was the usual spread of cold meats, bread, yoghurt, coffee and juice. We stayed one night on the way to Neumünster. It’s just off the A7, with plenty of parking, and the hotel itself is clean and tidy. I’m sure I’ll stay again.
