Schlafladen Hildesheim Hotel & Hostel

I've stayed in hostels across Europe for years, and this is the best hostel room I've ever had. It was spotless, with lots of space and good ventilation; towels and a small breakfast were provided, and there's a self-service kitchen. The bathrooms were squeaky clean too. Good price and location. I'd honestly come back to Hildesheim just to stay here again.

The location is a little under two kilometers from the town centre, an easy walk. It's alongside the B6 in an area that's still being developed. Schlafladen is a simple hostel with none of the hotel frills, but it holds to a high standard. The rooms are on the small side but comfortable, and the facilities are more than adequate. In the shared kitchen you'll find cereal and muesli, different kinds of milk, tea and coffee, plus storage space if you're cooking for yourself.

There's a shared kitchen, which was a welcome surprise. Coffee, tea, and cereal are free, and you can get the rest at nearby supermarkets, so it's a good choice for budget-minded travelers. Breakfast isn't served, though there seem to be some good places close by. I had a hotel room in this mix of hotel and hostel. It was in excellent condition, had a nice feel, and a great bathroom. All in all, a very pleasant weekend stay.

The shared kitchen was well equipped and had some snacks, and the Wi-Fi was fast and steady. Rooms, beds, and bathrooms were clean, with a comfortable, modern interior. Staff were especially friendly, relaxed, and helpful, and the other guests were polite. It's conveniently close to Lidl and Edeka, and not too far from the center. Prices are reasonable, and you might even get a discount. 9.5/10. This is one of those places in Hildesheim where you can feel at home as a guest.
