For €18, I had booked an eight-bed room and ended up with the place to myself. It was clean, with plenty of space and beds about two meters long. Check-in is self-service: you get a code and collect a card. The only downside is the walk to town, which takes around 20 minutes. A nice, inexpensive hostel.
The room was pleasant and the place was clean, though noise from the corridor came straight through the door.
Pretty affordable and okay overall, but the Wi-Fi doesn't work.
We had no trouble arranging a reunion for 40 people, and the staff were so helpful and friendly throughout. The food was a real surprise too, generous and excellent, which you don't always find in a youth hostel. The rooms are modern and nicely furnished. We were absolutely delighted with the whole event, especially for the price.
Getting to Hildesheim's main station takes a 2.4 km walk, which was convenient for us. Check-in is available at any time. Our four-bed room had two bunk beds and felt roomy and tidy, with comfortable beds. The toilets and showers were clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. A great hostel that I'd happily recommend.
