We’d never stay here again. On arrival, the receptionist kept us waiting for three minutes or more while she typed at her computer. She was one of the most unwelcoming people we’ve ever met, and made it seem like having us book a room was an inconvenience. We thought we were the only guests that night. There doesn’t seem to be free parking. From 9 am onwards you need a timed parking disc, and the receptionist wouldn’t lend or provide one. For food, we can recommend bar/bistro 1601 across the street, which was full of people.

Expect wooden stairs and rustic rooms, some of which may be small, though they’re clean. This is an old-style hotel in a very good location, with good food and beer. It has what you’d expect from a real Gasthof.

The building is quite old, but it has real charm. Rooms and food are fairly priced, and breakfast was sufficient. The food was good, friendly place overall, and mostly sourced from local farms.

We came for a nine-night stay, but it was disappointing, even a nightmare. The shower door had been temporarily fixed with paper glue. The television was broken and impossible to watch. The fire extinguishing system went off for no reason twice every day, and they demanded that we go out into the cold street.

I like the rooms, and the bathrooms are quite good. The beds are really good too, so you can sleep very well.
