Chalet am Birkenhain

The bread delivery service worked perfectly, and the hosts were incredibly friendly and easy to deal with. We were seven friends with several small dogs, and we all felt very comfortable in this lovingly decorated historic house. It’s furnished with impeccable style and to a high standard. The quiet setting is ideal, while restaurants and hiking trails are still nearby. We’d love to come back.

Even with the weather against us, we had some wonderful days in this charming traditional-style house, the kind there sadly aren’t many of anymore. It was spotless throughout, and the kitchen had everything we could need for cooking. From the house, it’s easy to head out for golf, dining, shopping, and hiking, but the house itself is very quiet. What made us book again in late summer as soon as we left was the warm, dedicated service from the lovely hosts. They were always available and eager to fulfill our every wish.

The bread delivery service let us start every day slowly around the breakfast table, and Wi-Fi worked throughout the house. There was also a TV and music system. Many lovely hikes start right at this dream chalet on the outskirts of Hinterzarten, and the owner was very friendly, with lots of tips about Hinterzarten and the surrounding area. We stayed with our children, grandparents, and dog, and had more than enough space and comfort. The lovingly renovated holiday home has four bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a living room with a fireplace and large dining area, ample parking for several cars, a large sunny terrace, a garden, and even a sauna. We were thrilled with the house and service, and had a wonderful week in Hinterzarten. Thank you so much. We highly recommend this chalet.

We had a lovely weekend with the whole family in this chalet. It’s really well equipped, in a good location, and has a special Black Forest charm. The hosts were very friendly, and Chef Josef Fehrenbach came to the chalet and prepared an exquisite menu with top-quality ingredients, putting so much heart and care into every detail. It was a really special experience for all of us. We warmly recommend both the chalet and Herr Fehrenbach.
