Hotel Zartenbach B&B

A cute little hotel in a handy location, and the price was reasonable. We chose the small room on purpose, so the tiny bedroom and bathroom were still fine for our three nights. Breakfast had an okay selection. Check-in was excellent, and we didn’t meet any staff during the stay, though we didn’t really need to. I’d recommend it to anyone exploring this beautiful area on a budget.

The owner and team were really friendly and helpful, and I felt at ease throughout my stay. The hotel is an easy walk from the train station, in a great location. It’s a typical Black Forest house, pleasant and clean. Breakfast was an excellent varied buffet, with brilliant coffee, plus free tea and coffee in the lounge at all times. The bed was very comfortable. Some furniture and the bathroom color scheme felt dated, but I’d book here again.

Breakfast was nice, and there’s a fridge in the room. The room itself was pretty small, with an uncomfortable little bathroom. The sink was in the room and much too low for someone who’s 186 cm. My windows faced a main road, so traffic was noisy, and I could hear people walking upstairs. There’s no air conditioning.

The staff were nice, and breakfast had a wide range of items. The location was excellent, with all the area’s attractions within an hour’s drive. The rooms had no way to cool them, such as air conditioning or a fan, and there was neither a kettle nor a refrigerator.
