We found the apartment clean and well equipped, and it was a nice surprise that it was cleaned once and the towels changed during our weeklong stay in June 2024. The building was clean and accessible too. The garage was very convenient, with an elevator up to the second floor where our apartment H9 was. I gave it four stars because of the owners’ credibility. The offer from Braviscasa said there were two toilettes, which mattered because there were five of us, but we arrived to find only one. The owners said the offer was a mistake and didn’t suggest an alternative. When I asked again the next day, they offered another apartment in Titisee, but we declined because packing everything and driving to a different place was too complicated. We could have booked similar apartments with two toilettes for the same price. It’s a shame the owners didn’t take this seriously. I’d advise asking Braviscasa every question about the apartment before booking, rather than relying on the offer.

The heated floor was nice, and the apartment was well furnished, right down to little things like baking paper. It also has an underground garage, and picking up the key from a locked box was simple. The only downside is that laundry costs extra, but that wasn’t a problem.

Our flight was canceled, so we couldn’t make the trip. We’d booked the free cancellation option offered on the website, which was available until a few days before. We also had travel insurance, but it didn’t cover the flight cancellation caused by Iran launching more than 300 missiles towards Israel. This isn’t something that happens every day. I contacted the property right away. I didn’t “just cancel,” but they offered no option, not even a discount for a future stay. At first, they said there was too little notice to rent the unit, which was disappointing but understandable. Later, we found out they had rented it, so we asked again for a refund and were still refused. I checked the specific unit in the days after our planned arrival, but it wasn’t available, and the host didn’t respond to the request from Booking. They could have offered even a partial refund for the electricity and water we didn’t use, the cleaning they didn’t need to do, or the tourism tax they shouldn’t have collected since we never visited. The person we corresponded with was unpleasant and hard to get a response from. They also “blamed” us for not having travel insurance, even though we did, and it simply didn’t cover what caused our flight cancellation. We tried through Booking.com as well, but they said they couldn’t get a response from the host.

There’s a small trail that starts right behind the house. Just remember to bring toothpaste, bathing soap, and food, since the apartment doesn’t have them.
