We felt right at home here. The old building has lots of charm, and the courtyard is a comfortable place to sit when the weather's nice. Despite being in the city center, the guesthouse was very quiet, including our room facing the courtyard. There was a bathtub as well as a shower in the bathroom. We also appreciated having a lounge next door, with drinks and snacks available to buy. Breakfast had lots of variety and tasted great, and the value for money was excellent. We highly recommend it.

Breakfast was easily the standout, with a great selection and a lovely atmosphere. The host was really nice, too. We had stopped for one night on a bike tour and were assigned a ground-floor room. Both the room and bathroom were great, and everything was there, even a kettle. The shared lounge right beside it had everything you could want for a comfortable stay. When we first saw the outside on arrival, I thought, “OK, let's take a look.” After that, everything was SUPER. We'd love to come back!

The owner made us feel very welcome, and getting checked in was easy. We loved our quiet room looking out onto the cozy courtyard, where you can sit when the weather is good. This is a small, special hotel in an old half-timbered house, right by Hitzacker's old town, with a central location and lots of thoughtful details. Black-and-white photos of Hollywood stars from the good old days hang all around. Breakfast was wonderful, and we'd definitely recommend staying here. We'll be back next time. - Doris

Breakfast had everything we wanted, and this was one of the best places we stayed on our Elbe Cycle Path tour. The owner has renovated the accommodation with care and style, keeping its own special charm. Sitting in the courtyard felt a bit like being in Italy, or at least gave us that impression. There was also a drinks fridge, available for a small fee. Highly recommended.
