The main event is the “Sultans of speed” 1/8-mile races, with close to 4-5k motorcycles from different brands over the weekend. Entry is free. Food and beer cost a reasonable amount, though there isn’t much choice. All in all, it’s an okay motorcycle festival.
I just had coffee with a friend and enjoyed the sunny weather, didn’t eat. There were lots of bike lovers around, and the prices were good. A really nice place to spend a good day in Germany.
Glemseck 101 Festival had a great vibe, with good people, live music, motorcycle racing, beer and food. The weather was great too. Come along next year and I’ll buy the beers, another good German product.
If you want to avoid stressful traffic, get there before 10 or 11 am at the latest. I went on Saturday and found plenty of parking near the event. There were a reasonable number of portable toilets, too. This is one of Germany’s best annual sprint-racing events, and the organization keeps getting more professional each year. Highly recommended!
Stopped at this nice beer garden during a hike. Lots of motorcyclists pull in here, so it isn’t especially quiet.
